The Mission of Wayside Cross Ministries (WCM) is to honor God by loving and serving the afflicted and powerless through sharing the Gospel of forgiveness and hope in Jesus Christ by empowering them to be disciples of Christ, having a vision to be a Christ-centered ministry pursuing excellence through transformed lives for God’s glory. WCM is a Bible-based, Christ-centered shelter and recovery center. Their ministries are dedicated to helping the homeless, addicted, abused, at-risk and imprisoned experience the transformational hope of Jesus Christ.

Divisions of WCM include residential recovery program called Master’s Touch, Lifespring recovery shelter for women and children, New Life corrections, Elgin Wayside Center day program, Urban Youth after school program, and Hope Outreach teaching work skills and ethics.

Wayside Cross Ministries was founded in 1928 in Aurora, Illinois, following evangelistic meetings by Billy Sunday, during the Great Depression. They are dedicated to the principles of commitment, compassion, collaboration, community, and Christ-likeness.
